Michael Connelly is an American crime novelist and former journalist best known for his Harry Bosch and Mickey Haller series. Born in Philadelphia in 1956, he covered the crime beat for the Los Angeles Times before publishing his debut novel The Black Echo in 1992. His authentic portrayals of Los Angeles and meticulous procedural detail have made him one of the most respected crime writers alive, with over 80 million copies sold worldwide and multiple successful TV and film adaptations.
