Lee Child is a British-American author best known for his Jack Reacher thriller series. Born Jim Grant in Coventry, England in 1954, he worked in television before turning to writing after being laid off in 1995. His debut novel Killing Floor introduced the iconic drifter Jack Reacher and launched one of the most successful thriller franchises in publishing history, with over 100 million copies sold worldwide.
